Privacy Policy

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how The Intellectual Minds (“The Intellectual Minds”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use this website, book a seat or request to speak at our events. We follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).

1. Information we collect

  • Ticket bookings: your name, WhatsApp number, number of seats and (optionally) email.
  • Speaker requests: your name, WhatsApp number, profession/organisation, proposed topic, and optionally your email, profile link and a short note about you.
  • Automatically: basic usage data through cookies and similar tools (pages visited, device/browser type, the ad or link that brought you to us). Your IP address is used briefly, in a scrambled form, only to block spam.

We do not ask for sensitive data such as financial details, government IDs or health information on this website. If you pay online, the payment is handled by the payment provider and we do not see or store your card/UPI details.

2. How we use your information

  • To confirm your booking and share event details (venue, timing, changes) on WhatsApp, phone or email.
  • To review speaker requests and get in touch with you.
  • To tell you about upcoming sessions — you can opt out at any time by replying “STOP” on WhatsApp or emailing us.
  • To keep the website secure and prevent spam or misuse.
  • To understand which pages and ads work, so we can improve our events and marketing.

3. Consent

We process your data on the basis of the consent you give when you submit a form. You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this will not affect processing done before withdrawal.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed with:

  • Service providers who help us run the website and events — website hosting, email, WhatsApp (Meta), analytics (Google) and advertising (Meta/Google) tools, and payment gateways if you pay online.
  • The venue partner for a session, limited to what is needed for entry (for example your name and number of seats).
  • Government or law-enforcement authorities when required by law.

5. Cookies & advertising

We use cookies and tools such as Google Analytics and the Meta Pixel to measure visits and the performance of our ads, and to show relevant ads on platforms like Instagram and Facebook. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and manage ad preferences in your Google and Meta account settings.

6. How long we keep data

Booking and speaker-request records are deleted automatically after 365 days, unless we need to keep them longer to meet a legal obligation.

7. Security

We use reasonable security measures — encrypted (HTTPS) connections, restricted admin-only access to form entries, spam protection and regular updates. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we work to protect your data.

8. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you can ask us to: access a summary of your personal data; correct or update it; erase it; withdraw your consent; and nominate another person to exercise these rights on your behalf. You can also raise a grievance with us and, if not resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

Our events and this website are meant for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared data with us, please contact us and we will delete it.
